Bluefish Update, July 1 - 8
Dear Bluefish,
Congratulations on a fantastic win yesterday at Long Branch Pool! There were so many close races and so many personal bests, it was hard to keep track of what was happening. But once the water settled, the Bluefish were victorious. It's fun to swim a team with whom we are so evenly matched, and who are as friendly and welcoming as the Long Branch Dolphins. Thank you to all the parents who endured the high temperatures to volunteer at the meet.

Friday Potluck/Meet Set-Up
Upcoming Schedule: We have a bit of a break this holiday week, but things pick up again the week of July 9. Please take time now to declare for next Saturday's A-Meet at HH, and also for the B Meet at HH on July 9, and the A-Meet on July 14 (away), as well as for the July 11 Relay Carnival (more info on relay carnival below). Go to hollinhills.swimtopia.com to declare availability and to sign up to volunteer. There is no B meet this week.

Team Photo on July 7. The team photo will be taken immediately after the meet on Saturday. Please do not leave the meet before the photo is taken! Minis - we hope that you will also be present for the photo! Thanks to Liz Yap for arranging the photographer. Bluefish Minis & Lollipop Race The Relay Carnival will be swum in the evening of Wednesday, July 11, at Fox Hunt. This is an important event for the team! Please declare now so that the coaches can plan the relays; please declare if you are available, even if your child is not always on the relay at meets. We have often not been able to field relays because not all swimmers are able to attend. This is an important meet! I am hoping that we might be able to partner with other teams who also have low numbers in certain age groups to put together unofficial relays. If you can make it to the meet and want to swim, please declare your availability! T-Shirts Have you noticed the awesome new t-shirts that some of our swimmers have been sporting? If you want one, they will be for sale at Saturday's meet. Thank you to Ryann Morales for coordinating this summer's spirit wear. Friday Potluck/Meet Set-Up This Friday's potluck will be set-up, served, and cleaned-up by the 8 & under and 15-18 age group parents (you will receive a separate email with instructions). After the potluck, everyone is encouraged (swimmers included) to help us set the deck for the meet on Saturday morning.
