ALL ABOUT THE DIVISIONAL MEET!

Some information about Divisionals...
THE MEET The meet will be swum at LAKE BRADDOCK, 9528 Ashbourn Drive, Burke and will start at 8:30.
MEET SCHEDULE. The meet will begin with IM, followed by freestyle and backstroke(first half). After back, there will be a short break, and then breaststroke and butterfly events (second half) will be swum. VOLUNTEERS. Volunteers for the first half should be on deck by 8:00 ~ briefings begin at 8:00; volunteers for second half should be on deck by 10:30 ~ briefings begin at 10:30. Please remember to wear white over blue if you are volunteering on deck. WARM UPS The general meet warm-up will be from 8:00 - 8:15 in lanes 4, 5, and 6, so first half swimmers & volunteers should arrive by 7:45. There will be a 5 minute warm up between events for swimmers in the next event only. Our warm ups will be in lane 5. TEAM AREA. We will be in team area 5, which is in the grass next to the clubhouse. Please bring chairs and extra towels! Swimmers are asked to rinse their feet in the footbath by the entrance to clerk of course. Please put any trash in the trash can provided for the team area - Let's be good guests and keep the area clean! CONCESSIONS. There will be a CASH ONLY express snack bar in front of the clubhouse. A bigger snack bar (the Laker Lounge) will be on deck and accepts cash and credit. A t-shirt vendor will be on site selling shirts. PARKING. Parking in the lot is for officials; there will be a swimmer drop-off area at the top of the driveway. Street parking is on Ashbourn Drive and on Wallingford Drive. There is a path to the pool between 9518 and 9520 Wallingford Drive. Fairfax County requires that you leave 10 feet between your car and driveways. SPECTATORS. Two sets of bleachers will be on the far side of the pool for spectators. START TIMES FOR EACH STROKE. The estimated start times for each stroke will be as follows: IM - 8:30; Freestyle - 9:15; Backstroke - 9:50; Break to switch out volunteers; Breaststroke - 11:00; Butterfly - 11:45.Please email me if you have any questions.
